Re: Temp higher than normal on recon engine

Just another thought if the dalek cap is broken and it doesnt open to release the coolant could that cause it to run hotter. As in effect its now a closed loop under higher pressure so higher temp. I only say this as I haven't seen any increase in fluid in the tank behind the number plate, or decrea...

Re: Temp higher than normal on recon engine

Thanks for the info both good advice. Was going to do another air bleed and check the fan. I can borrow a IR thermometer from work so can try that. I presume the fan kicks in at a pre determined temp so if I first check the fan. I saw thread for that somewhere. If it doesn't kick in its not as hot a...

Temp higher than normal on recon engine

2nd engine cooling pump

I have had the van now for over 10 years and it has ran with out it but I am now replacing the engine as I had a coolant leak and o...

Re: break and right indicator earth

I checked continuity from the cluster to the earth link behind the airfilter this was ok. So made a new earth cable, straight to the battery and everything worked as it should, even the bulbs were all bright something I've not seen for a few years. When I stripped back the earth cable to join a new ...

Any further advice on this please. When I indicate right and put my brakes on the indicator stops working. So far I have cleaned up the terminals to the front and back indicator / rear light cluster. Cleaned the earth cables behind the airfilter in the engine bay. Cleaned each of the earths on the t...

Re: Rear Indicator RHS and Starting

Cold starting now sorted it was a bad low temp heat switch. Replaced and sorted. Battery light sorted was a loose terminal on the alternater. Two things to sort right hand indicator stops working when you put the brakes on and rear lights still a bit dim on the right side rear so must be a bad earth...
