Power Steering Resevoir Red Cap....hole?
Guys I have a small pin hole in the middle of the red cap on the power steering reservoir....I've had some heavy steering issues recently, so topped up with ATF, but have noticed the fluid is escaping through this hole when the engine is running. It looks as if it supposed to be there, as it's unifo...

Re: Winter Cover
i have one of these - they are excellent, especially for the money.
i have owned the much more expensive versions, sold by Just Kampers, & reckon they're not half as good....

Re: Replacing gas struts
Dalester, drop us an e-mail if you have a problem. Unusual for them not to hold a bike rack up. Sounds like they maybe duff. If you bought them in the last 12 months we'll swap them. Simon at Brickwerks swapped these for me, & what a difference - no more smashing my head on the tailgate! Great ...

Re: std rim but bigger tyres wanted ?
Would the 205s be a "more comfortable ride" i.e. more rubber in contact with the road?

Re: std rim but bigger tyres wanted ?
What would be the real-world driving difference (i.e. response / feel / pick-up) on-road, between:
185 R14 stock
and
195/75/R14
and
205/70/14
....experiences appreciated.

i'll be getting some of these....I ordered the Brickwerks ones which are supposed to "take you chin off", but won't hold the tailgate with unloaded Fiamma rack.

Re: Recommendation of winter tyres
Hi Guys Having had a "moment" in the Swiss Alps this weekend, I want to fit winter tyres - these boys seem pretty decent, based on reviews: Continental Winter Contact TS850 - http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/wheels-and-tyres/60712/continental-contiwintercontact-ts-850" onclick="windo...

Re: What battery for 1.6td jx?
I know that there aren't quite the restrictions in size on a Diesel as the battery tray/area does allow for a bigger battery than VW specified, I understand type 096 are very popular and easily meet/exceed what it is needed...note* type 096 are general 190mm tall by around 278mm long which is fine ...

Who's best for TDI conversion?
Hi
Have used the Search, but didn't come up with much....can anyone tell me if there are any garages, or people, that can do drive-in / drive-out 1.9TDI conversions (from a 1.6TD)?
i.e. source a suitable engine, carry out the work etc....
Thx
