Re: Fridge not cooling

If turning it upside down doesn't work, you may need to get it regassed by a refrigeration engineer. Not sure where you would get it done, perhaps by an A/C engineer?

Re: Brighton

Shoreham might be a problem, they've very recently had a lot of trouble with Travellers, so might get a bit umpty.

Re: NEW VENUE UP 4 GRABS

Looks like a possibility for when I've had me eyes done and bought a new van.......

Truly though, it looks an excellent site and what a joy to find that everyone got on so well!

Re: 3 way fridge vents size! Huge!!!

If you are planning to use gas as a power source, then yes, you do need external vents. Carbon Monoxide has no smell, but the blood will take it up in preference to oxygen, thereby killing you.

Don't cut corners with gas in your van.

If you have a thick bottomed frying pan, you can contact toast your bread in it. No need for oil, I've been doing it for years.

Don't try it with a nonstick pan, and the heavier the bottom, the better.

Stainless steel frying pans work best.

I use an Emergency Escape ladder, metal version of a rope ladder.

Dunno where to get them from though. Mine was given to me.

There is a danger. The haemoglobin in your blood will take up carbon monoxide in preference to oxygen if there is any blockage in your vents. I have a coolbox style 3-way fridge which I only use in the awning if I'm using gas. Warning signs of carbon monoxide include headaches, visual disturbances, ...

Know how you feel JD, Had mine just over a year and it has had new waterpump, alternator, solenoid, brake servo, fuel piping, and I think a new cambelt, too, (although that could have been my previous car).

I love it to bits though!

Tyre pressures?

Hi All, Can anyone give me some info on tyre pressures for my T25? She is a 1984 homebrew camper with a Viking roof. I will be taking a full load, (4 adults plus Awning, and odds and sods) this weekend to the New Forest. I'm not sure what pressures to put in on 102/100 steel belted radials 185R14C a...

Removing tint film

Hi All,

I have a very dark tint film on my camper wndows, so dark it gets dangerous to reverse at night, so it has to go. What's the easiest way of removing this stuff please?

Hi, Yes I am a little sentimental about her, she's my first camper. My Father had a Bay, my uncle had both a Splitty and a Bay, so I guess we're aVW family. I could look for another one, but she's just gone through the MOT without a prob, I have to keep her for this summer at least, as the inheritan...

Thanks peasant. She used to be a petrol engined gal, I don't think the brakes have servo, but not being a mechanical type I can't tell by looking. I know they don't stop me as quickly as I feel they should, and I'm definitely not a suicide jockey! I've had her a year, and, as I have just received a ...
