Football 1 Headlight 0

Hi guys, My son has managed to catch the headlamp on the camper with his football! The glass on the headlight subsequently fell off! Can't see a way of getting it back on and I think the headlight is a sealed unit, so probably the glass wasn't designed to be separated from the rest of the li...

RnR Bed Foam

Hi guys, Been looking at rock n roll beds for our van, and apparently for safety the foam needs to be attached to the bed. What exactly does this mean? I may be being dumb, but does the foam need to be glued to a board which is then attached (presumably using some bolts/screws etc) to the frame? Our...

Re: Travelling issue

Yeh, it's quite similar - only we have a full width bed as the unit on the door side isn't there, just the cupboard at the back. Think I'll just chill, and go with the flow. Maybe sort it out for next year as we are planning on getting the bodywork done over the winter, so that would probably be a g...

Re: Travelling issue

Hmmm, yeah, but then I'd have to get them fitted..... ideally would like to find somewhere nearby that can fit them, and that I can trust to do it proper like.
Sadly we do not have the skills ourselves....
Thanks anyway,
Cas.

Hubby's correct. Drive carefully and enjoy your holiday.

Probably right - but would like to know if there are other less painful options than him being right

Re: Travelling issue

Oh dear, I have no idea about any of those things!! How do I tell if it's a converted panel van? Will it say on the registration doc? The interior has a full width bed with a little wardrobe thingy on the sliding door side. Cupboards are just the two - one houses the grill/hob and the other the frid...

Travelling issue

Hi guys, we are taking our camper over to Brittany in August. We are taking our daughters, age 13 and 12 and our son who is almost 18. My problem is that I am getting quite stressed over the seatbelt issue. We have two lapstraps in the back, which I would like to replace with 3-point straps and a la...

Re: Starting Problems

Thanks Em, that's exactly it: just clicks, but give it a bump, or even just a rock sometimes, and it's fine! Will check connections and maybe just get new ignition switch, and see what happens.

Thanks again,
Cas.

Re: Starting Problems

FinL also replaced the distributor with a new one. Could be the lead thing though - when RAC man (v. nice man!) checked it, he did mess with the leads first and then it started.

Hmm, wish I knew what I was doing

Re: Starting Problems

Yes, it was brand new. :?

It does sound dodgy though doesn't it. Is there anyway to check without replacing it? :?

Starting Problems

Hi everyone. Have been away for two weekends now, van went great most of the time. However we do seem to have an intermittent problem starting. If we stop for a break, get back in to start her up, it seems that the battery is completely flat. A quick push and we're off again, but having to try to pa...
