i had to do exactly the same to mine only this may..... take the latch off the door, and you will see the pivot point where the handle fits , the "jaws" of the slot the pivot slots in just need a very gentle tap to close them up so they grip the handle again...... recon they will last a g...

Fixed them. The pivot point on the catch comprised of two slots in the mounting plate where the two short pivot spigots on the lever pushed in. I used a hole punch to close the slot up which secured the lever nice an tight Should last a few more years now :D I will post a picture sometime for other...
