Thanks I think the previous owner had fugdge a cable repair at some point as either end on the old cable was nothing like the replacement. There were a few zip ties plus the spring added too. Anyways all seems to be working fine.

Sorted. I removed the spring shown and the cable end dropped in nicely, so over revving issue sorted. The spring however shot off and can't be found. It doesn't seem to make any difference to throttle modulation in anyway. Should I be concerned about finding and replacing the spring?

I've just replaced the accelerator cable and took up slack but not to taut (so it seemed) and it's idling at 3k. Can arrived and first coats looks spot on. Any idea what the ral code is for the fridge vents which are light grey?

Ral7032 seems to be a good match. I've ordered a can and will see how well it matches.

Sorry for digging up and old thread, but the window scrapers on my Westy have perished and I need to order some replacements. Can anyone point me in the direction of the scrapers which have the chrome strip as the only ones I can find are just black and id lose the original look.
