1.9 head gasket
Hi, it's been confirmed by a local garage that my head gasket has gone. Can anybody recommend a local vw (camper) garage that can do head gaskets in the nottingham area. Any kind of feedback would be most helpful. Cheers

what are the dimensions of the glass lens of the Sirroco's. I wonder if I could reuse the glass part of the lamps and transplant them on to my lamps?

Re: Overheating 1.9 petrol engine
In reply to Ralph. We were cruising at 60 mph on m42 heading towards Tamworth. Light came on (we are both deaf and didn't hear the belt go). Unfortunately we were 2 miles from the services so we gambled on getting off the motorway....... I know...... I know. Thought we had made it as the steam only ...

Re: Overheating 1.9 petrol engine
Thanks for quick replies. Replaced new tank and cap from brickwerks. The cap is blue. Will suck and blow to confirm. Ghost's reply is interesting, will check the pipework when home tonight. This could stop me from bleeding the system properley. There are no signs of Head gasket going ie, milky oil o...

Square headlamps
Hi, I've got a auto sleeper with square headlamps and wondered where I could get a replacement glass for my left hand side lens (it's got a crack in the glass). I can't make myself pay £200 for second hand lamps going on ebay. I have original rhd lamps and was hoping someone stocks replacement parts...

Overheating 1.9 petrol engine
Hi, my fan belt snapped on the way to the gower and I thought I had pulled over in time to stop it overheating. As I turned off the ignition steam blew out the back :-(. I think it had only blown the seal on the expansion cap and I have replaced the expansion tank and a new cap. However after fillin...

Re: Headlamps, NO full beam!
Yep. I have checked all the fuses. Whilst having another look today I realise that I can get them to flash but not stay on. Sorry I cant, it was the fog lamps flashing!! See comment below.

Re: LED Lights
I have been using LED's for some time with no problem. I use the 360 degree view LED's. However do not get the LED indicator bulbs as they dont work. Because the LED is very low power it confuses the van and makes it act as if the lamp is blown. Also I have the smoked rear lens and they just pass fo...

Re: Engine Stalling
Bit of a strange one. Seems to have stopped now and i have no idea why. Have had a look at the points, ht leads and noticed a vac pipe not fitted to the throttle. its the thin clear pipe from the air filter. Dont know if that will make any difference. Fingers crossed she stays ok.
. Thanks guys
