If you're worried about top speed and hills you bought the wrong van mate :wink: Basically anything over 70 and you're caning it and yes hills will slow it down. Whats the top speed of a 1.9 Caravelle?

Hi Everybody,
Does anyone know the top speed i should expect out of a bulk standard 1.9 DG Caravelle 1986 C reg ?

And do they suffer going up even the slightest of hills ???

That doesn't look factory as the factory roof has drain pipes going into and down the pillars but if it is genuine the reason the handle hasn't been changed for genuine is cos 701 877 453 4YX has the mechanism in it and is over £100 from VW the only way to know if the van was originally fitted with...

Mine has those brackets too, hard to see in this light, but i reckon mine probably are hidden by the chassis too. i think mine will most likely have a fixed thread in the floor seeing as it's a genuine multivan, maybe you could use a rivnut for the ones with no access underneath? Yep thats an idea ...

That Multivan interior is way different to mine as my bench seat bolts to the floor via a sheet steel bracket on which the seat hinges mount. yep, mine the same as yours.
