Re: Uneven idle on Pierburg Carb
Hi Fritz, Well I've had the afternoon off and have been a twiddlin' but have one very important question... which screw is the idle mixture screw? is it the one on the top of the carb next to the primary and secondary jets (labelled as the Pilot Jet in the Haynes manual)? I have looked all over thes...

Re: Uneven idle on Pierburg Carb
Thanks Fritz, I'll check the mixture screw on the carb and replace the vacuum hose later today and see how it is running. The carb had been off of the van for a while and I wanted to make sure it was definitely faulty, and of the ways it was faulty before diving in and changing lots of things. It is...

Uneven idle on Pierburg Carb
Hello all, The Van is a 1990 1.9 litre WBX with various carbs and originally a DG designation. I've been busy this evening retro fitting a Pierburg 2E carb back onto the van. It had a Weber on it for a several months, which hasn't been very reliable. After reading many of the Weber related post on h...

Loss of power at high revs and stalling when stopping
Hello all, Now the above two problems may or may not be connected but as the van isn't going anywhere at the moment it would be good to get it mobile again at least. First a bit of background... 1990 1.9 litre water cooled boxer (DG maybe - I haven't got the details to hand) Following a failure to r...

Re: Carb problem!!!!!
Yes, the Weber came from Just Kampers - and wasn't cheap at all. Though the mechanic did fit it for free as his cleaning of the Pierburg hadn't done the trick, which I think he regretted offering to do because it took him hours. I'm not sure how much knowledge he has of that carb (or carbs in genera...

Re: URGENT HELP NEEDED WITH MY CARB.

I shall use that motto too, being the proud owner of a Weber Go-Anywhere BBQ and with a friend whose Weber equipped T25 isn't currently going anywhere (if you'll forgive the pun)

Re: Carb problem!!!!!
D'oh! Just joined the forums as a friend has a T25 camper (no honestly it not that its mine and I'm embarrassed about it) to which he had a Weber carb fitted. The van has never really worked right since he had it fitted (which was a right bugger by all accounts) - running very rich and drinking a lo...
