Re: Fuch Alloy's conclusion needed

Sorry, can't remember what size they are , just made sure they had the sufficient load rating for the camper.

Re: Fuch Alloy's conclusion needed

I've got some 17" Fuch on mine that I got from (I know I shouldn't have) Midland wheels. Because they came from Midland I expect them to self destruct any day. They have actually been fine and made it through 2 winters and still (I think) look fine, they have covered a few thousand mile and I l...

Re: Alloys from just kampers

My Midland wheels are sill on,round, not melted or eaten by mice and after 2 winters and a lack of regular cleaning are lasting better than the alloys on the better halfs 2 year old Audi. Maybe I got a luck set. :D

Scooter carrier ?

Does anyone know if it's possible to carry a scooter on the back of a T25 ?
I'm thinking of something like a 125cc step through weighing about 100kgs.

Has anyone done this or is it a complete no no, what's the max weight a tow bar can take or could something be chassis mounted ?
Ta.

Re: Exhaust supports

Thanks, looks like Brickwerks is my only option but at £115 I was hoping for something cheaper after getting the rest of the exhaust kit.
I'm just glad it all came off with only minor hacksaw and hammer action

Exhaust supports

Hi , anybody know where I can get a pair of late exhaust supports&straps that don't cost an arm and a leg ? Mine are worn and rusted. Went to go away yesterday morning and packed the van up , turned the key , he fired up and sounded like a tank. The pipe under the gearbox is split in two. I've s...

Re: Is 215/35/18 safe on these vans?

As you say above the axle loads are 1200 front and 1300 rear.

Unladen weight (with driver) varies between 1395 to 1900 depending on model and a GVW of 2390 petrol /2460 diesel.

If that helps you decide at all.

Re: Bad Petrol ?

I keep getting similar problems at the mo with my 2.1 inj eng. I'v replaced fuel filter ,cap and rotor arm , plugs and cleaned idle valve and throttle body air box etc but have found no reason for the intermittant rough running. Lumpy and cutting out at low revs but can throttle through it then it w...

Re: Fuch Alloys

Yep they are the 5x112. I love them , I have not lowered him yet but am thinking of about 40mm. Handling is better than with the old steels on, corners much better but I think new springs and shocks will help stop bounce a bit.

No, course they didn't. Anything I learn about the van is from here or Brickyard etc.

Re: Fuch Alloys

Yeah i was quite happy for my friendly mechanic mate to fit the wheels and new suitably long enough studs while i made the tea and kept my non trained eye on what he did. They tyres are suitably load rated and the wheels with an ET of 40 should be good enough if the Brickyard info is to be trusted (...

Re: Fuch Alloys

I think the nuts and studs were radius but didn't really take much notice as a mechanic friend came round and fitted them for me while I fed him cups of tea ( my jack is knackered) . Spacers would make the rear wheels foul the side door plus they look just fine where they are. Will look at the load ...
