What CovKid said, but be wary some replacement locks are a different key profile so you can't just re tumble the locks as key style is different

So they must be running with the HV circuit = not ideal as that is were most of the wasted amps go. As it is really simple to remove the ballast / start up circuit gubbins and simply stick the strip on the back plate, and connect the 2 wires up, that would be far preferable both in terms of power s...

+or - 5mph, I would live with. If I take the cable clip off mine it bounces about 30 to 40 mph, thats the range, no idea if theres any +, but there is definitely a minus

I forced a piece of cardboard under it, and now the cable cant move at all, no speedo bounce!! I use graphite powder, but only after I've cleaned all the crap out, a good soak in white spirit usually does it. But note you will probably have a fair amount of wear in the locks after all this time, so even with good lube, you can still get problems. I can cut you a new key if you get the lock co...
