Re: Doka restoration

I originaly thought all 16 doka's had this fitted. Then through checking with many owners of 16 Doka's I have only found 4 door dokas with this. This was checking years from 1988 till 1992. If your 3 door has this then it is the first one that I know of. There is also another reinforcement that fit...

Re: Doka restoration

My 3 door 16" has this reinforcing plate on the driver's side, check with a length of bent wire or an endoscope.

Re: Looking to buy a syncro. What's missing?

I live close to this van and would ordinarily be happy to give it the once over but looking at the pics. it would be a waste of time, it's a shed  :rofl  The guy's seen the light and pulled out  :ok

Re: danish syncro

Is that a Finnish spec van ? Half bulkhead, basic windows and no seats for cheaper taxes.

Re: 16" brake discs

I didn't want to go down the big brake route, it's a light doka and we only use it on local green lanes

Re: Exploding CV joints - possible cause anyone?

Strange, I fitted a cheapo to the rear outer on my panel van years ago with no problems, and it gets lots of stick offroad!

Re: E30 servo

Now I'm confused, the clevis is the bracket, the clevis pin fits in the hole! To confuse things further don't early T4 servo's fit?

Re: E30 servo

My clutch pedal is worn and have been putting it off for a '' rainy day '' When in there it would be rude not to upgrade the servo.
I think it's straightforward but pedal needs drilling to fit the larger BMW clevis pin ( I think )

Re: E30 servo

Looks like the master cyl. was leaking and reacted with the paint, a lick of black hammerite wouldn't hurt. ( E30 on right )?

Re: AAZ (1.9td) engine with JX (1.6) pump

Golf gti is petrol, different system altogether. P.S. if the LDA is on top of pump it's an AAZ, JX is to the rear. Pic would be handy.

Re: AAZ (1.9td) engine with JX (1.6) pump

I doubt a flexy would cope with the pressure, Brickwerks stock the JX ones, even better fit the proper AAZ pump, you're losing a fair bit of power using the JX pump.
