I drove the van to the garage at 9am and luckily he had some pipes of some other vw that he bent into shape and job done.

I will get a new set when I get home and replace thanks for advice guys.

Thanks for the quick reply Colin. Yes it is the metal injector pipe that has a hole that is as you said blowing a mist of diesel all over the engine.I new the guy didn't have a clue when he rapped the shifty tape around them.I thought that they may be a clip of some sort that would temporarily fix i...

Not really recommended my friend............ :lol: Oops sorry I better make things clear...my speedo has got the slipping cogs and keeps stopping I have tried gluing the shaft and it worked for a couple years then it stopped again.also tried gluing small plastic stop on as member ghost did but won'...
