My push rod tubes look like they have rings on the outside at the end near the block, does that make them telescopic?

Hello All, I have a sticky hydraulic tappet, goes quiet eventually after about 1/2 hour running.what I want to know is, can I remove the tappet without removing the head? I was hoping to remove the tappet by removing the rocker shaft and pushrod and put a magnet down the tube to remove it. the quest...

Thanks for that, removed caps from lamps, and used a beam setter to set up, beam pattern fine now, also n/s was high, and o/s was low, bring on the darkness

UPDATE. Whoo hoo changed plugs and fuel filter, and checked timing, over advanced, adjusted, and drove this morning like a different van just got to sort out why choke not working, thanks for all replies,

I know it aint a Lambo, but the problem comes in at a lower speed as well, when under load, even if i change down a gear, it still seems to lack power

Thanks for all replies, i forgot to mention, i have checked fuel pressure and it has 2 bar on idle and about 3 when revving at about 3 k, so that seems ok , will change fuel filter tomorrow, also this has a recon carb on it, and i have the bill with the setting up figures on it, but it does seem lik...
