Re: Inner/Outer Sill and JP rot- Advice needed
The plot thickens. The welder who originally had agreed to work on her locally has broken his leg... We also had a VW nutter come and take an angle grinder to her (thats where things get really weird) exposing the rust to the elements... We want desperately (overly emotionally attached to her) to ke...

Thanks boatbuilder!
These threads and pictures are really helpful in getting an idea of what will be required. I'm going to show them to the welder at the weekend and see how he feels.....

Re: Inner/Outer Sill and JP rot- Advice needed
Hey, Thanks for the initial diagnosis, and its mostly as expected. She was last on the road 3 years ago, so we knew full well she'd be it a fairly rough condition now. Add to that the fact we know the work done on Tilly previously was botched everywhere, and it's no surprise it won't be an easy fix....

Inner/Outer Sill and JP rot- Advice needed
Hello everyone, We're dragging our beloved T25 out from several years of neglect, and desperately need some advice on the sorry state of her sills (amongst others probably) and necessary welding to get her back on the road. Mechanically she still runs great, after sarran1955 rescued our holiday 3 ye...

Re: loss of power
sorry if you've already checked this and i'm talking nonsense but another thing could be your accelerator cable and routing... we spent months on our rebuild, got the timing just right, all set up from the carb linkage bar, she should've ran like a dream but when it drove it was still a shed. After ...

What a result! A new throttle cable and we've suddenly discovered a 50% BHP increase...! It's like a new vehicle. Thanks for your advice hacksawbob. Follow the rest of the story here: https://club8090.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=80558" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ...

Re: Throttle Cable route - 1980 RHD
We've had a read of the wiki, but it's up the front that we were having trouble.
Thanks for letting us know it's visible from the front wheel arhces, we've run it through now and are fairly happy with it's route.

Could you just confirm whether the outer goes over the front suspension or under?

Throttle Cable route - 1980 RHD
Hello We've just yanked out the old throttle cable, which was laid through some old rubber fuel line, and are going about fitting a new cable and housing. The van is a 1980 RHD, but I can't for the life of me work out where the accelerator cable runs after it comes through floor at the front. It loo...
