Re: reverse or forward going out?

Mechanically speaking i was under the impression that it was better to reverse while the engine was warm, that is, at the end of your journey, rather than drive in direct and reverse out later with a cold engine... but saying that, i tend to park up miles away in a easy spot than faff about on the d...

Re: Restoring / 'nourishing' leather seats

Unbelievably, E45 (skin) cream. No idea why it works so well but I suppose the lack of harsh chemicals and its softening properties (for skin) does the job. Thats what I use and I get great results. now, just how would a person acquire such knowledge? http://i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y391...

Re: Spring/damper recommendations

I've noticed if I drive around too light (ie not much weight in there), I get all kinds of clonks and creaks. I honestly think stock shocks & springs (new) are fine. With most campers the only issues tend to be around leaning to one side. Hi Covkid, how does this fit in with your thoughts for a...

Glad to hear you're back on the road. Who's your local mechanic Corkyboy? I'm not a million miles from you so it would be useful to have another number in the book. Silky E.G. Wright Motor Engineering. Warre Street, A-u-L ( just near the railway Station) 0161 344 0054 they specialise in classic ame...
