Hi. I've got a DH engine 1.9 petrol engined wedge which is doing my thre'pennys in! The idle is playing up a bit and can go anywhere from 1100rpm to dip as low as 800rpm. Re: Headlights inoperative
I've even ordered a brand new switch. So the way I see it, the switch works, the fuses are ok, theres no relay that I'm missing, new bulbs fitted also. The side lights work and the main beam works. So from that I can safely assume that the lights are getting power, and the switch (at least as far as...

Re: MOT Fail HC Emissions
I've had a butchers and it turns out its a DH Engine. Anyone any idea which spark plugs I would need for this. Just Kampers sell WR7DC which they say is suitable for all VW T25s. The Haynes Manual gives a variety of different plugs for different engines, but not a DH engine. The sensible side of my ...

Headlights inoperative
Hi I've got a T25 Left hook caravelle that has just failed it MOT with a list of biblical proportions of faults. Some of it I'm going to sort myself, some of it will be done by my friendly neighbourhood extortionist (mechanic). The headlight dipped beam isn't working on the L & R sides. Have gon...

Re: MOT Fail HC Emissions
There's no O2 reading on the print out that they left me with. CO2 reading is 1.63%, which is well within tolerance levels.

MOT Fail HC Emissions
Hi, I've just had my 1.9 waterboxer fail its MOT. Its a 1985 German Lefthooker and the HC Emissions have come in at 1237 ppm (pass would be 1200ppm). Its not the only thing that its failed on, and it has a lengthy list of fairly minor issues, including headlamp not working on dipped beam, tyre, and ...

Any pointers for a good spot?

Exhaust Silencer
Evening all! I've a 1985 T25 left hooker with an exhaust problem. To get my van thru its MOT I had to have a new silencer fit to the van. The guy at the garage had a bit of a moan about how difficult it had been to hang the silencer, although "he had managed". Two weeks ago I was on my way...
