If the old glue has gone hard...try just sanding down the highlights [Palm sander] and then go over it with new glue and carpet...If you try to remove it with any type of thinners or acetone {nail varnish remover} you are going to end up with a permanent gooey mess.

If you use any spray glue. make sure you mask up any area you dont want to get it on, seats, door cards carpet or flooring in the back behind seats. It might not look as if you managed to spray it without getting anywhere else. That "pooh" will attract dirt like bees to a honeypot.trust me...

Have you thought of Bilbos. I'm not sure if they do T3's any more, but their work force have been with them for years and must have worked on T3's worth a phone call. There's concept Campers down in Hythe, good luck
