Re: Clutch slave cylinder
So just had go at starting the van while in gear. Nothing, can put it in and out of all gears without trying to pull away. So I'm guessing you are right and it is stuck in dipped clutch position. I will try and get the piston rod off and see if I can move the arm manually. Guessing if I can it's not...

Re: Clutch slave cylinder
I've tried to move it up but it won't budge.
I can select gears with the engine off but not tried starting while in gear or selecting a gear with engine on.

Re: Clutch slave cylinder
Quick update
The plunger seems to be sitting where it should be so I'm still at a loss as to what to do next.
As I can't depress the clutch to put it in gear I can't even drive to a garage.
Anyone have anything else i should check/try
Thanks

Re: Clutch slave cylinder
Thanks " stesaw " and "jrt"
I think the plunger part is OK but probably needs changing as the boot is damaged, also a good chance I've bent the bracket one way or tuther.
I will try and have a better look over the weekend.

Martin
That is exactly what is happening to my van.
I know about sniffer test and will get it done to be 100% sure but can't think of any other issue that would give the Same symptoms.

Re: POSSIBLE HEAD GASKET?
no loss of coolant as such but it is being pushed into overflow tank so assume its combustion gas getting into coolant system. Daz That is what it is supposed to do! Sorry what i meant was over flow tank filling up because of air/combustion gas in pressurised tank the one with darlek cap on it.
