hey,
the back left side handbrake cable on my van has snapped, how do I go about fixing this any where would I get the cable from? is it an easy job? could I do it myself? cheers!!

well Iv tried changing the oil again, I used 20w50 as recommended...however, some guy in an audi garage did say try the synthetic oil so i dunno...ermm also when I was changing my oil there was this gungy and kinda hard substance coming out with it...not a lot but it was weird stuff...could this be ...

hey, so Iv taken my van to a few vw specialists who said the sound is probably either piston slap which is bad news apparently, no oil pressure (as the oil light comes on when its started but then goes off after about a minute of driving, but this may explain the tapping noise) orrrr just completely...

well the vans just been in the garage now and they said it would cost 'mega bucks' to have a look at it and they said they're not even gonna strip it cause it would cost far too much...any suggestions on what to do now?

hey, thats me just changed my oil and filter...started it and the ticking sound is still there...can I drive it a little to get the oil going round or should I leave it idle? I'm scared of doing damage to my engine because if it is a tappet then it could get even worse if I drive it? its a 1.9 petro...

hey, I was just looking online how to change an oil filter on my van and it says I need to fill the filter with something called Quantum 15-40 from GSF...I have absolutely no idea what this is, can someone fill me in? or fill my filter in for me, and maybe do the whole thing for me? +D cheers!!
