Gearbox problem

Driving home for lunch today and I was unable to select 2nd and 4th gears. The gearbox seems to have gone a lot looser than before and just generally feels different when I move the stick around. Also, it's difficult to get it out of reverse gear. I hope my gearbox isn't knackered. Anybody experienc...

Also, moving parts inside also suggests this. Blue Arrow - I have noticed small air bubbles travelling down this fuel li...

Mine does the same. Sometimes it's fine but others it gets lumpy and almost seems to be revving a bit high at idle.

If I'm stood still for a couple of minutes the lumpy feel grows but if you blip the throttle it goes back to smooth. Not had the chance to investigate myself yet.

Oil

What is the best type and brand of oil to use for my 1.6TD?

I've only had it a couple of weeks but so far I've used Castrol Edge 5W40.

Also, where's good for buying cheaper or in bulk. That stuff is 15 sheets per litre.

Jack and lever

Hi
Where (if at all) is the jack and wheel nut spanner kept on T25s?

I bought my van a couple of weeks ago and I've just thought about it now.

Possible New Purchase

I'm going to look at a couple of T25s this weekend and hopefully I'll be driving one of them home. Has anybody got any tips for things to look out for. It's going to be my first van so I don't have a great deal of experience.

Thanks

Engines

Hello I'm trying to decide whether to buy a particular T25 1.6TDI van or not. Could anyone here help me with the following: The van is a 1990 G Plate 1. What is the 1.6TDI engine like? I've been told they're a bit slow. 2. Is £2000 a fair price for a semi converted panel van? Any advice would be muc...
