hi save your money and go to the bathroom cut the top of a bleach bottle bingo angled filler that fits in the fill tube.ps tell the missus before you cut of the top.

Hi I need a bit of help,i know how to set the timing my question is with the vacum hose is it plugged or not to set the timing I have looked every place,book,reference I could find.Thanks Rob.

Hi just to let you all know,heads off pistons and liners out,agggggggggggggg piston in pieces skirt gone,oil ring in bits.going to get the others crack tested and back to GSF to see what they say.season over for me,

Hi guys,thanks for the replys brand new heads fully built from vw heritage I will take the head off tomorrow and will post the results.I just hope its a valve guides.still under warenty.

hi whats the problem with your flywheel,the reason I ask is you can have it refaced by an engineering firm,i had mine done and only cost 50 quid but I have the spare one if you want it is a late DG with a 228 face.

Hi guys,just rebuilt the dg engine with pistons and liners from gsf and heads from vw heritage all seemed ok the first 300 miles till this morning on start up you would think it was two stroke clouds of blue smoke eventually cleared a bit took her out and its giving a puff of blue smoke when I slow ...

Hi guys i am rebuilding a 1.9 dg motor and have just had a bit of a shock with the cam installed the lifter guides/tubes are really out of alighnment,the lifters are only in contact with about 2/3 of the cam lobe all is in the correct place with shells, is this normal for one of these engines.thanks.

Hi i had the same problem it turned out to be the brake vacume tube from the inlet manifold leaking it looked ok from the outside but all cracked inside,Best of luck Rob.

Hi i am rebuilding the engine in the old girl, i have used wellseal on motor bikes crank case halfs and always had good results i just dont want to take chances,or have to do it twice,any advise would be greatfully recieved.

hi the wires you refer to are the ones that power the solonoid (the smaller round item on the starter) the wires go to the ignition switch. cant spell either.Rob

hi done a bad thing my heater has filled up with water?so i striped it sand blasted it painted it, putting it back together lost the wiring diagram i made,is ther a lecky box genius out ther that can help,i am willing to pay,Pretty Please.Thanks Rob.
