Re: Golf Mk4

Hi all.

What sort of economy did you get on the drive home, and what are you expecting in the bus?

Re: Best subaru engine for the Syncro help?????

2.2 under powered. 3.0 power great but economy bad and too much for gearbox. 2.5 perfect. Try and get a SOHC version (later >2000)

Re: insulation - the what and what nots

Although I don't necessarily rate it above Silent Coat, for changing the natural frequency of a panel, and preventing a 'tinny' resonance, Flashband has got to go a fair way (no scientific precedent, just conjecture - works for the food industry...)). I plan on using that to cover some of the larger...

Re: FUll width R&R bed

Cheers Lloyd. But a normal bench seat is a lot more contoured than a R&R isn't it, so a little uncomfortable to sleep on?

Re: syncro or syncronize....

:ok Looks like a special delivery from Denmark... Something I had considered, but not for long was the likelihood that the kit was going to require some overhauling. The front end came mostly whole, so was tempting to just out it up as was. In actual fact, however, I have torn absolutely everything...

Re: FUll width R&R bed

Thanks for the really helpful info Monsieur Burton - much appreciated. I'm glad to hear that the VW ones are worth holding out for. I most certainly want a full width because the van it's going in is a twin slider. Also, the middle row is coming out and buddy seats going in. Begin the search! Hopefu...

FUll width R&R bed

Hi chap(ess)s,

Looking to put a full width bed in the back of the caravelle. Had a genuine one ear marked up until recently but didn't work out. Should I hold out for another genuine one, or are there better aftermarket ones? If so, which? I want longevity and quality first and foremost.

Cheers!
