Re: Rear Suspension Leg Mount

Thanks for all the help guys.

I now have it sorted. In the end i had to get a new mount fabricated and welded on as the parts were really hard to get.

Thanks Again

Viking Pop Top

Hi All,

Does anyone have any pics of the inside of a viking pop top.

My van has only got the fibreglass roof and i have no idea what or how to to install the supports, gas struts and vinyl. Although i'm sure i'd be able to suss it all out i think a look at someone elses would really help.

Cheers

Rear Suspension Leg Mount

Hi All, I have searched the Wiki and cant find any info on replacing the mount for the rear suspension leg. Does any one have any idea if there an off the shelf version that can be welding on? My passenger side has cracked on the outside of the mount. Just in case i have not described it right, it's...

Sliding door adjusting

Does anyone know how to tweak or raise these? i am gonna be working on it soon and want to make sure that i dont mes...

Re: Intelligent relay getting no charge

Just an update for future reference for any other noobs, I used a multimeter to test the alternator, and the battery. Checked the brushes and connections, all appeared fine. Turns out, my stereo was drawing a small amount of power and a redundant alarm too. Stripped out the alarm and re wired the st...

Hi All, I have recently suffered my first electrical issues on the camper. I've managed to finally work it back to the main battery. The problem i have is that the current battery has no stickers or references on it, i can measure the battery for the replacement but can someone give a spec for a rea...

Re: Oil Breather Pipe Constantly dripping

i thought that the oil breather pipe was a standard fitting on the air cooled engines. I take it that it isn't? basically, there's a small 4mm pipe coming from the engine which looks like it doesn't go anywhere and seems to drip oil once the engine has been run. I have just got the haynes manual and...

Oil Breather Pipe Constantly dripping

Hi Folks,

I have recently noticed that the oil breather pipe is always dripping for a few minutes after driving, leaving a nice small patch of oil everywhere i park.

The oil level is just below max.Oh, it's a 2.0l 1982 petrol

Is this normal or could there be an underlying problem?

Thanks,

Ray

Re: Intelligent relay getting no charge

First thing that strikes me is you say that the fridge was working - it shouldn't be run from the battery - alternator only. That will cause a flat leisure battery in a very short time. How did you run the vehicle battery down, the purpose of the leisure is that everything runs from it (NOT the the f...

Well, it's fixed to the steel body work which is under the seat. I think it's a good earth point but you may have better knowledge than me on this.
I was only supplied with about 300mm of cable to earth the battery and had to make do.

Intelligent relay getting no charge

Hi All, I recently bought a 2.0L 1982 Aircooled T25. The missus and i booked time from work and went about preparing the camper for a leisure battery. I perused the leisure battery market and all split charge options until i finally settled on the Intelligent Relay, a 110Ah battery and 600 Watt Inve...
