owrate owduck.....it could be as simple as the oil cooler,if not..its the head gasket...no real biggy tho if you can dabble yourself,did marladys 1y last year for about £80ish i think........

gsf wanted silly money when i asked,but in their defence..i was skint,so drilled n tapped it,shoved a length of(8mm i think?) threaded bar in,then bought new rubbers n washers....been ok for 12 months so far

i put the 1.6 set up on owduck.....works well apart from having to adjust fan belt occasionally dut to a previously modded mounting....................

i agree with rozzo owduck....give it a go anyway...you never know...but find some owd thin tin first to have a go on really thin stuff so you can get ya mig set right....try buildin up both edges gently on the thin stuff then turn it up a bit to join both seams.....if it dunna want any...bang a patc...

ah oldie...i could see the small tab on mine with the notches on without removin the head...and theres dozens of crackin threads on here about changin the gaskets....i did mine last year on our 1y diesel n i made all the timing/locking tools mesen,bits of bar,correct size bolts,a few shims etc.........

got sick of weldin mine back up,so found gsf cheapest for the silencer,but i shelled out the extra and had a new downpipe with the flexi joint in it,which takes a lil' more stress off the mounts,had no meither now in 15 months...used n abused every day!!!!

no probs,could just do with knowing if theyare standards......might have to buy a soddin pair if i cant get one to match....and were pretty skint at the mo................cheerz rob...sound aza pound!!!!!

they are all the same spring rob....just thought id take a couple of pics...so the spring in the pic is a standard mate,or did i read it wrong,or do i have a soddin front on the back????..........cheerz

right then......got the bloody thing off this mornin and theres only one yellow band around it...tried the passenger side and thats the same...........does this mean i have front coil springs on the back.................anyone got one in stoke i can get hold of tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
