Re: An MOT Question.

I've been pulled by VOSA for a roadside inspection on my Audi 100. The examiner said that he would deem
Any vehicle that leaks more than a 10p worth of oil during his 3 min inspection unroadworthy. I know it's not an mot test answer but should give some context.

Re: Jacking and axel stands advice

I have the exact same machine Mart jack linked above and have used it heavily for t3's for 6/7 years. It's ideal as it goes high enough for most jobs. Only time I had a problem is on lowered cars but not an issue For a van

Re: 1.8Gti Kjet - What would you do?

I've got a DX K-jet in my single cab that I've just bought - fuel pump is very noisy also. I'd be interested in seeing some pictures of where your fuel metering/distributer head thingy has been installed and if its running a golf airbox or something modified. Mine is running original golf airbox but...

Me and my brother did it with an angle grinder and a sledge hammer!! We melted the battery cover and put a hole in the drivers seat from the hot swarf from the angle grinder. If I did it again I would defo drill the spot welds or use an air saw. Even if you drill the spot welds, there is still a bit...

My £250.00 body kit is ok but I have ditched the side planks as they are not particularly straight and don't look that good. With body kits you seem to get what you pay for. They are cheap for a reason. Projektzo (spelling) kits are around €1100 and I bet they fit like a glove. I am saving up for a ...

Would it be possible for someone to pm the user id of the said "anchor" so I may avoid buying these parts. There are some other bodykits up at the moment. These claim to be good quality but appear to be offered by "the cherrypicker". Does anyone have any experience of the black k...

My van passed with no working dash lights and a couple of other faults as well.

I'm not sure if thats because they are not required for an MOT or whether I used a dodgy MOT station (by accident).

I did fail on a directional tyre being on the wrong way round though.

Tip from BVF - don't use double sided tape to fasten your underlay mats to the windows as you spend two hours with a bottle of white spirit removing the adhesive!!!!

I had a golf GTI wheel in my van but had to take it off as my muscles aren't big enough to operate the steering with it on.

£10 quid and I'll bring it to BVF

Ditto on the saab seats - nice warm bum - I've got a nice warm bum all the time as I can get the bloody heater wiring right!

AFAIK they don't bolt straight on though - mine have been spot welding on as the runners are slightly further apart than OEM.

My grilles turn white/silver so I thought sod it and sprayed them silver. I try to kid myself that they now look like the stainless steel one I had on a Landy - they look stainless steel if I take my glasses off. With glasses on they look wank!!!!
