Re: Good Aircooled mechanic who can fix pushrod tube leak. North
Hi all, I thought I'd update you on the van and give you all the name of the only specialist who has done the proper job of fixing our van. DAN' S DUBS. Following the disaster of going to Gasure for the work done, I was referred to Dan's Dubs by the mech who does our Mot's etc. What a legend Dan is....

Re: Good Aircooled mechanic who can fix pushrod tube leak. North
It's been a while since my last post. I did indeed go to gasure. I've still got leaking push rod tubes, a new exhaust that rasps as you let off the gas pedal and a scratch down the driver side of the van. I have tried to get back to Steve to get it put right but that's not happening. I'm not bothere...

Thanks for all the replies. It sounds like gasure is my next stop. It's definitely the pushrod seals that are leaking.

Good Aircooled mechanic who can fix pushrod tube leak. North
Hi all, I've got leaking push rod tubes still. They've leaked for the whole time I've owned the van. I need someone who can genuinely stop them peeing out oil. So far I've tried Mac in Stretton two attempts no fix, slambassador in Seem no fix, the so called Vw expert off Manchester Road in Mancheste...

Push rod tubes leaking AGAIN!!
Hi all, well after six months of no leaking I thought the problem was finally sorted. Until a trip down to Wales and the only real mileage we've done. Get home and oil is dripping away worse than before. Does anyone know someone local to Warrington who can help me with this?

New bearings horrible squeaking noise
Hi all, thanks in advance for any help. Yesterday I replaced the nearside rear bearings having replaced the offside ones the day before. Since replacement yesterday I'm getting horrible squeaking from the nearside back wheel. It's definitely coming with rotation of the wheels not from braking. what ...

Re: Van rolling on handbrake.
The slope isn't dreadful but is enough to bump start the van. I know this as the battery is also knackered. Reverse will almost hold it. I'll still test the compression but you've made me feel much better.

Van rolling on handbrake.
Hi all, I'm sure it's down to compression issues as you feel the engine turn as it slowly moves one piston at a time with a short lull for the turn of the engine. In short I've got a 2litre air-cooled engine I believe it's a cu. How much will it cost to resolve this? Am I looking at pistons, piston ...

Re: 075 battery with reverse terminals
I was told it would give me more room to slide the driver seat back.

Re: WHICH GAS STRUTS DO I BUY?
I no longer use a door mounted bike rack and you need some arm strength to close the tailgate. If anyone wants them give me a shout.

075 battery with reverse terminals
Hi, I'm really struggling to find a new battery for the van that has reverse terminal layout. Does anyone have a good supplier I can go to?
