Unbalanced Wheels made my 1.6TD run rough!

Folks I+On my recent trip to Cornwall I noticed that the engine was running rough (in a kangarooing style) around 2000rpm, but smoothed off above 2500rpm. Bugger i thought - will post a query on 80-90 when I get home. Then I noticed that there was a speed related vibe - which I (correctly) put down ...

Just done that

Just converted one of my lap-belts on the R&R seat to a 3 point. I bought the 3 point kit from Just Kampers and the extension as well. I found that the 3 point kit was so long that I didn't need the extension and I returned it for a refund. The kit took about an hour to fit. Used the two lower m...

Many thanks

Yes - Bluebird was the one I was one I was looking for, and they do front seat hammocks too.

Thanks to both of you for your replies

Door Step - Help for my Short Wife

Folks My perfectly formed but short wife finds that the small step up to the sliding door on our LHD T25 is a giant leap too far. So I need to fit a step. I don't want a step that has to be stored in the van - more junk to trip over and non-to-stable in use. I believe that there's a T2 'running boar...

Weird 3-way fridge

Folks I have a 3 way fridge in my LHD Westy. I used the gas to chill the fridge on a campsite than used the buttons to swtich over to battery for the drive home - forgot to turn the gas supply off. Got hom, emptied the van and left it for a week - came out to find the fridge still running off gas - ...

Thanks folks - just the job! Yes those syncro mirrors look the part - I assume they give you the "white van man" wide angle view of the road (that white van men seldom use). All I have to do now is get a fix to interior mirror now - anyone know how it's attached to the ceiling? Glue or bol...

T25 LHD - Better Mirrors

Folks We've a T25 Westy LHD - It's a bit stressful on the overtaking lark... Problem 1 - there's a cabinet mounted from the van's ceiling above the engine-bay, so the internal rear view mirror can't get a good look at the traffic behind. Ideally I'd like a rear view mirror that mounts about 4 to 6 i...

Folks

Many thanks for your responses - the manual that Jake pointed me to has the answer - the LPG pre-heater for cold weather. I would never have guessed that.

Thanks

What's that switch do

T25 Hitop, Westy trim. http://www.sorebums.net/VW/controls.jpg Switch B turns on the level meter lights for the water and leisure battery. Switch A turns on light C. But I have not idea what the signiciance of that switch or light are. I guess its something obvious. Is it the 50mpg switch? Simon www...
