Update on this one.  I got it up to operating temp (3/4 on the engine temp again.)  Checked out the engine with my laser thermometer and no part of the engine was over 90c so I've now confirmed that my gauge is just showing around 90C at 3/4.  I can live with that.   Now that you've measured it pro...

thanks guys-  i cant even see a rubber seal on mine... without poking and comprimising the mastic i wont know until im ready to yank it out (not bought the new windows yet)... but im thinking it's just glued with gooey stuff to the outide face of the lip.   i hope the JK seals that come with the win...

The early LHD will have the same size windows as the early RHD because the sliding door window is the same size as the other size so they would be a straight fit without reversing, you could also fit a left side window from a LHD of any year into your sliding door .
