Hi all Im having major problems with my carb and before I admit defeat and send it off to Bromwood for a rebuild my garage has said to try giving it a clean in a ultrasonic cleaner. Does anybody know the rough dimensions of the carb as Im looking at buying a cleaner but need to know if the carb will...

Ive got to find a nice local sheet metal company to pit a bend in a strip of metal for me , what angle do you do them to mike ?

Not sure what you mean mike :oops: . Just measured the hole in the door Ive cut out and the thickness ranges from 1.05 mm on the straight flanges in the window aperture to just under 0.9mm where there is a bend formed.

The inner door repair section measures just over 0.8mm :shock: :shock:

Depends how far apart the mx5 seat runners are , how they attached to the floor in the mx5 in the first place and if your prepared to cut the old vw seat runners out of your van to get the new seats fitted if you have to. Anything can be done but its just how far you want to go . I have mr2 seats in...

Ok mister picky that one is out of calibration as its the first mic I brought as a apprentice and now lives a cosseted life at home with me . I brought the inner section with out seeing how rotten it was Mike, looking at it now its not to bad , just going to cut back to clean metal and see whats salvagable. Starting to get back into the swing of things now so should be a quick job

Not a problem Sandra just let us know . My van is layed up for the winter at the moment just got a bit much with no heating on the cold mornings. Was planning to get on with the welding but the weathers been against me. Just using it when we have a good weather day :D .

I have a spare rear screen in my loft I can do a template for you if you still require one. I would love to be able to say you could have the screen but alas its a factory blue tinted one waiting to go in my van :(
