cooling for gti conversion
Hi all I have my pb lump in the va now but need to know how to plumb it in. Does anyone have any pictures? I cant afford diesel pipes but am handy with a welder....so was going to make some Ts up...i had a chat with the man with the gti doka at vanfest so if he has some pics thatd be sound! oh also ...

Whats the length of a diesel input shaft?
Does anybody know? Ive just took the one out of my WBX and its the same as the diesel one i got sold can anybody make it clear for me what the length is of the right shaft. So much for putting the gti lump in tonight

Bolt sizes for diesel bellhousing?
Hi all ive tried the wiki but had no luck. I have a diesel bell housing but no bolts...so im a bit stuck. Anyone have any ideas of lengths and thread.

petrol starter in diesel bell housing?
Doing a PB mk2 conversion in my van and want to know if the original 1.9 wbx will drive the flywheel (same tooth spacing on the gear etc) and fit properley. Mitch

How are you meant to get the gudgeon pins back in though if the piston and rod are in the liner? Or do you just put the piston in so far so the rings are in and then put the pin in and push the liner over it? Thought as much theres not much of a sump on them is there. :shock: All of the head studs a...

looks like i might go for it then. Has anyone had any experience with the cylinders&liners coming away with the head as im looking for an easier option than dropping the sump and taking the caps off to get it all back together....any good jiggery pokery?

Evening all I have removed the heads from my 1.9 WBX today, not a bad job (all studs are intact :lol: ) however when removing the heads the liners seemed to come out with them which im not sure they were meant to as i have no idea how youd get the pistons back in the liners/cylinders without a strip...

In the process of doing the head gaskets on my van. Has anyone got any info on setting the valve clearance and what position the engine should be in? Its a 1.9 wbx. Thanks

I see what your saying just seems a shame to put a hole in it. Will it work just receiving 6amps of power and just not perform quite as well?
