Re: Heater Cable Control Adjustment
Thanks for the help.
Main vent does not quite completely shut nor fully open, so maybe adjustment?

Re: Heater Cable Control Adjustment
I think that is the main one though looking at Bentley diagram it could be any of them. Moving the levers makes no difference to whatever is loose, which makes me think it is adjustment of tension on the control cables, this is probably wishful thinking as I am hoping the dash does not need to come ...

Heater Cable Control Adjustment
Anyone know please if the control cables not being adjusted correctly could cause the flaps in the heater to rattle noisily for eg following traffic on motorway etc.( Or anything else ? )
Trying to avoid taking out the dash again !!
Thanks in advance

Speedo Calibration woes.
Hi, Hope this is the right forum for this query.( Apologies if not ) Just got my speedo back from Germany where I sent it to be calibrated. It is an 805 MPH fitted to my 1990 T3 Westy 2WD It came back much worse than previously and when I informed the guy , he is in denial and claims I sent him a 10...

Westy LPG tank
Help needed please. Rebuilding tank after powder coat and don,t know which way up to fit the 80% fill valve with float,( it is a euro one, used with UK adaptor ) searched the threads but can,t find out if the "notch on the valve should be at the top or bottom as you look at the tank on the van....

Underslung tank resto.
Decided to resto the tank, it came up well after media blasting, however has some slight pitting around the feet, so question is, can you use a rust cure before it goes for powder coating, or is better to use metal paint ? hammerite is not popular I believe, have heard Aldi do some strong metal pain...

SPEEDO STICKING
First run out since lockdown and speedo , though steady , no wobble, is reading way below and above compared to GPS on the phone.
It is on my 89 Westy with a 100MPH speedo, wondered if they can be repaired as they are so hard to find these days.
Any suggestions welcome.
Cheers , thanks in advance,

Re: Westy Underslung Gas Tank query.
Thanks for the above, my own thoughts exactly. However it is troubling that I guess this is a "get out " clause in all policies, ie, in case of fire, no safety cert for the gas system and no cover ! You could lose everything against the cost of a new tank. I have seen several tanks, worse ...

Re: Quick Quesion westy gas tank how many litres?
Wonderful, thanks. Going to buy a tank and Tinley tech are offering a kit for the T3 but it's too small IMO at 16l, so I'm going to get a bigger one. https://tinleytech.co.uk/shop/motorhome-and-caravan/vehicle-specific-vapour-tank-kits/vapour-kit-vw-camper/" onclick="window.open(this.href...

Re: Westy Underslung Gas Tank query.
Thanks for the above replies. Had a gas test done on the Westy for a safety cert. and the fitter failed it for corrosion on the underslung tank.( There is a lot , though could do with sand blasting etc, to see the extent ) ( Apparently, insurers tell me, this certificate is needed in case of fire et...
