Hi all been having a problem with my AAZ 1.9TD starting recently. When its cold it starts fine , glow plugs light and then engine fires up. If its hot then it will normally start but anything in between is a night mare, if I leave it for about an hour, it's as if the glow plugs don't know wether to ...

If yours is setup correctly I.e belt around the outside of the water-pump pulley (and it runs cooler).mine is definitely the other side which means that it is rotating a different way!!!

Just had a look at the pump rotation . It rotates in an anticlockwise direction when looking towards the front of the car. It is driven by the smooth side of the belt. I am checking out the pump as this seems a good option, when you bleed the rad at high revs,should water/air come out as per domestic radiator? When I bleed system (back or front raised,i have tried both!) water and a few air bubbles just oozes out not as I would expect for a pumped system,any thoug...

where does your temperature gauge display in normal operation? half / 3/4...........?

new water pump back in january, got from GSF i think.

will try raising back etc. on ramps

For info,radiator not getting very hot.tried lifting front and bleeding it from bleed screw,pure water coming out.

Try it tomorrow and see how it goes, bloody annoying. Waited seven months to get it back from spray bay and it starts overheating

Hi My engine is getting very hot, most times on short journeys runs at 3/4 of the guage , sometimes full and red flashing light etc.. i have had new thermostat, new long hoses from front to back. i am not sure that the expansion bottle is doing its job, as i sometimes see expelled water on the floor...

Brute force really, not very technical I'm afraid!
