The Covkid has done a conversion which looks very very similar to mine ..using a type 4 1700-2000 Aircooled pipe onto the manifolds. What 'type' 4 model is he reffering to? . Could be I suppose,but cant identify.Mine hasnt got the heat exchanger either. Is this only for Aircooled?

I did look at wiki,but not the same! Manifold pipes are same ,but mine has pipes to a end mounted silencer as explained. Can I just disregard the extra pipes and bolt silencer direct as per the top digram?

Get them cut from laminated at a glass supplier?

Im a short a*** ,so the head height isnt a prob. just fancied a different look thats all! Havent looked closely at the area where the springs locate,but guess the spacers would need some sort of location to stop them popping out in extreme cases?

TBH I had three females helping me try to put this up (oo er!) I thought by asking them I would be able to stand back and let them get on with it ,but they couldnt suss it either! With your info ,I reckon I will leave it until I actually use it for the first time .

OK Thanx.. I thought one pole would be the gutter pole ,altho' there are figure of 8 pieces also supplied.Should there be 2 gutter clamps ,one each end of the gutter pole?The poles with the rubber ends presumably fit into the pockets. Will have a look for the pockets.... Regards Rod

Just bought a s/hand awning as above. Had a trial set up ,but cant suss out where the metal poles go and how they attach! I presume they fit in such a way that the inner bedroom tent clips on to them .........Anyone?
