Hi All Ive had no luck selling my 'bus (1.9 wbx 1989) ,so have decided I will keep it if I can get a few jobs done on it. Ive now noticed that there is a prob with 2 of the manifold to head bolts sheared off. Is this common? I think the head will have to come off to sort these out,and also there are...

Re: Exhaust identity?

Aha ..Im learning! Ive just looked at the custom exhaust section on wiki. The Covkid has done a conversion which looks very very similar to mine ..using a type 4 1700-2000 Aircooled pipe onto the manifolds. What 'type' 4 model is he reffering to? . Could I do away with this and fit a original type s...

Re: Exhaust identity?

I did look at wiki, but not the same! Manifold pipes are same ,but mine has pipes to a end mounted silencer as explained. Can I just disregard the extra pipes and bolt silencer direct as per the top digram?

Re: Destination France...but where?

Hi All Havent been on the forum for a while..been thinking of taking a holiday in France in the camper, but have never driven 'over there' before. Very apprehensive TBH! Re: Raising Suspension

Im a short a*** ,so the head height isnt a prob. :) just fancied a different look thats all! Havent looked closely at the area where the springs locate, but guess the spacers would need some sort of location to stop them popping out in extreme cases?

Re: Royal Traveller awning set up....

OK Thanx.. I thought one pole would be the gutter pole ,altho' there are figure of 8 pieces also supplied.Should there be 2 gutter clamps ,one each end of the gutter pole? The poles with the rubber ends presumably fit into the pockets. Will have a look for the pockets.... Regards Rod

Re: volksware r+r bed (reviews please)

Not a review, just my 2p..........I was worried about the safety aspect of a 'normal' R&R bed eg foam on plywood,as I intend to carry adults in the back.I hadnt heard of Bluebird until reading this post,so I mounted a Rover 200 rear seat on a steel frame, and fitted seat belts. Now 2 adults can sit...
