Re: expansion tank - do I need one?

The van didn't come with one and its only after looking in haynes manual and at guides on bleeding the system that I realised. So now Im on the look out for...

I dont have an expansion tank behind ...

upper balljoint removal -wont budge

Hi I need to replace the upper balljoints on my van, I have done the nearside no problem but the offside is proving troublesome. I have been using the following http://washford.scene7.com/is/image/Washford/400-694414?$prod$ but it will not budge, been hitting it for ages and ages, from different ang...

Re: Diesel to petrol gearbox change

Not got the torsion bar setup under the engine. I did get all the linkage off the petrol box, had to remove a bracket about the petrol tank, a right bitch to get to as there is an extra support for the early linkage. I have got the petrol linkage in now changed everything but the shifter, but I beli...

Diesel to petrol gearbox change

Hi guys I have just put my new gearbox in my van, its a petrol box which I have spapped over the input shaft and bellhousing from the old DM code gearbox. The petrol box is a four speed unit. The petrol box is physically bigger than the dieseil box. Problem is I cannot get the front mount to bolt up...

dash lights not working

I have noticed that the indicator and alternator light on my dash do not work, is it simply a case of replacing the bulb or is it something more serious?
thanks

Re: AAZ conversion turbo misery :(

Hi
Yes I filled the engine up from empty with 4.5L of oil, the dipstick is a CS one modified and once I put in the new oil I marked it at the correct level. The oil return is a stainless braded PTFE hose into a CS sump modified, with an ali adaptors similar to the one sold by brickwerks.

AAZ conversion turbo misery :(

I was nearing the completion of my aaz conversion, today I finished welding up the new stainless exhaust. Now I have had the van running previously and have noticed traces of oil near the turbo but today was the longest period I have ran the engine. It was running at tickover fine, I blipped the thr...

SAAB 95 electric seats

Hi
I have found a pair of saab 95 seats, leather, electric etc anyone else fitted them into a T25? Im wondering about the electrics and the fact they have got airbags in them. Is it worth messing them, the price is right if it makes any odds.

Re: Bulk head removal and interior changes

Hi

Looks like a good job, im about to do this to my panel, I have a couple of questions
-Did you screw the boards to the van first then glue the carpet over the top?
-what thickness ply did you use?
-what type of insulation did you use?
-are you going to line the roof?

Re: aaz install engine running at full throttle only

Right its sorted, as you suspected the throttle position was incorrect, I followed the caddyforum how to for removing the top on the injector pump, removed it so I could determine what the throttle was doing, the throttle was working but backwards on the can if you get me, anyhow all sorted ticks ov...

Re: aaz install engine running at full throttle only

I removed the original throttle lever setup to replace with the old levers off my 1.6D engine, in hindsight it was foolish before I started the engine to check it ran ok in the van. Caused a whole load of trouble, I will remove the levers and start the engine then I can adjust the knob by hand and s...
