Re: Intermittent starter issue (pulling my hair out!)
Hi Ju, it sounds a bit like giving up, but after a couple of years of intermittent starting, children and wife pushing, parking pointing down hills, cleaning contacts and replacing earth cables and straps and batteries and upgrading the battery, I bought a new starter motor. Marvellous. It sounds as...

Re: AAZ installation general advice
Also "The AAZ has a weakness. The crank pulley bolt comes loose. This holds the timing gear and bottom pulley onto the crankshaft and they have a habit of coming undone. They are supposed to be torqued up to 140ftlbs or something like (can't remember off the top of my head) but aren't always do...

Re: AAZ installation general advice
Hi Stuart, Brickwerks have most of the parts and used to have instructions. They sell this spacer for the turbo. https://www.brickwerks.co.uk/turbo-spacer-t3-td-jx-to-aaz.html I used the Jx exhaust manifold, turbo etc when I fitted an AAZ. Anyone who knows about gas flow in exhausts would cry at the...

Cheers Ghost, thanks for the reply. That saves me wondering why I can't get Halfords covers to fit. Vandad.

Hi,
Mine has jx inlet manifold, exhaust manifold and turbo on the aaz. That was a straightforward way to put it together. Cheers.

Re: Bike rack.
Hi,
I used a normal Fiamma bike rack for a T25. I replaced the 3 bike fold down bar with an extending 4 bike one from a different Fiamma rack (designed for a larger RV type vehicle). Cheers Vandad.

Re: Westfalia rock n roll backrest stuck up.
I'm talking to myself here. I couldn't buy any replacement cables. I bought some aluminium collets, a crimping tool and some heat shrink. I repaired the old cables by replacing the worn out part with some bicycle cable from the shed and covering the crimped connection with heat shrink to stop it cat...

Re: Condensation to sunroof
Jocko, my sunroof gives me a wet seat. I now put an electric fan heater on in the van to warm it up and dry out the inside while it is parked up (powered from the house).
