Re: central locking

I've just done the same on the side door and it's working great. What other solutions have you guys come up with for the rear door.

Re: Rev Counter Calibration

Cool I gave it a go but don't appear to have a w terminal, so I'm going to wait for the 90amp one I ordered last week on flea bay.

Re: Rev Counter Calibration

also why did vw use two systems on one model, when the alternator signal is being used in the dash on both models. seams a little strange? Does anyone know of different part numbers for the dashes? Seams it could be a calibration issue. My rev counter is working, it just isn't calibrated properly. M...

Re: Rev Counter Calibration

Very Smart. I'm talking about the existing wire, it being petrol. I was hoping i could just move the end in the engine bay to the alternator, hence my question where does it originate?

Re: Rev Counter Calibration

So if i get this right, either the tacho or the foil is specific to the petrol/diesel.
is it possible then to run a cable from the alternator and run it in to this circuit?

Re: Rev Counter Calibration

It was a straight swop for the old dash i just had to remove the bit with the glow plug light in and swop it for the same section from my old one. The rev counter is still on it's original circuit foil.
