Cool I gave it a go but don't appear to have a w terminal, so I'm going to wait for the 90amp one I ordered last week on flea bay.

also why did vw use two systems on one model, when the alternator signal is being used in the dash on both models. seams a little strange? Does anyone know of different part numbers for the dashes? Seams it could be a calibration issue. My rev counter is working, it just isn't calibrated properly. M...

So it's the foil/bod that is specific to the Petrol/diesel? if so is there a mod to alter them?

Very Smart. I'm talking about the existing wire, it being petrol. I was hoping i could just move the end in the engine bay to the alternator, hence my question where does it originate?

So if i get this right, either the tacho or the foil is specific to the petrol/diesel.
is it possible then to run a cable from the alternator and run it in to this circuit?

It was a straight swop for the old dash i just had to remove the bit with the glow plug light in and swop it for the same section from my old one. The rev counter is still on it's original circuit foil.

Hi Guys I'm new here so excuse anything i've missed, I think i've looked through everything and still can't find an answer. I have a 1990 1.9 Transporter, that's mid camper conversion. I just got a dash on ebay with rev counter and a digital clock. The problem is it came from a diesel, I've got ever...
