I have the same problem... we had a screeching/rubbing noise coming from the rear left wheel last year which was solved by tightening the castle nut (or quite bizarrely, driving in reverse for a wee while!). It seemed to go away but I am now guessing that it was due to fewer miles done over winter. ...

I think playing No 1 for Wales would be easier than getting the water pump off. I did get the old one off eventually and fitted the new one, with a sealed bolt in place of the spigot. Cheers for all the help.

Cheers for the replies... The one i got from Just Kampers didn't come with the bung but I'll get a bolt to fit.

Am assuming the spigot is threaded to keep it in place so it should just unscrew? might need some persuasion i guess.
