Re: Oil pressure sensor colours?

Post revival time, this time with a happy ending! The Clustermaster kit was the likely suspect when I last posted, I contacted Campervan Culture and eventually through them, Clustermaster themselves in South Africa. They talked me through testing the kit and narrowed the fault down to the original V...

Re: DG temp reading high (yet another one!)

Hi all Old post revival time! I did promise I would get back to you with the outcome of this one! Apparently the aftermarket sensors have a different resistance to genuine ones so can read higher. Although I had bought my sensors through Brickwerks I replaced it again. Although the gauge is not sitt...

Re: DG temp reading high (yet another one!)

Have you tried bleeding the rad? Maybe an easier fix than you think? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Thanks Da Dan, I'm confident that I don't have an airlock because I've done a fair bit of work on the system recently and used the Simon Baxter method to bleed. I've got it booked into someone wh...

Re: Reverse gear reluctance.

Thanks Kev I'm not sure where to go with this, it was fine before it had the engine rebuild including a new clutch and flywheel so my initial thought is to take it back to the guy who did the work. I'm not using the van at the moment due to several issues all happening at the same time: 1.Clutch not...

Re: DG temp reading high (yet another one!)

Thanks, everything seems ok except the reading on the gauge. I'll do some digging on here for how to test the sensor etc

Re: DG temp reading high (yet another one!)

Water level is correct, with tank with the darlek cap full, tank behind number plate showing 'full' ( half way up). The levels have been consistent so I'm fairly happy I don't have an airlock either. Fam will come on when hot as it used to before the gauge issues started. I've tested it on both spee...

Re: Reverse gear reluctance.

Remember, we are laughing with you, not at you :-) If I can highjack this thread, I am having the same issue but can not get to the bottom of it. Rebuilt engine fitted with new flywheel and clutch, always crunching into reverse since. The guy who rebuilt it suggested slave cylinder which was leaking...

DG temp reading high (yet another one!)

Hi all, I know this is quite common but my temp gauge read reliably half way until I had a new thermostat housing, thermostat and sensor fitted. All Brickwerks parts. Temp reads just below max and on a run will put the light on, the fan does not kick in ( fan sensor also replaced and fan tested, it ...

Re: Oil pressure sensor colours?

Tested low pressure LED which does work so the fault is elsewhere.
I have already replaced the wiring up to the spade connector next to the thermostat so it's somewhere else....

Re: Oil pressure sensor colours?

Above test carried out, LED did not illuminate.
As I don't want to start messing around with the cluster master kit and doing damage I've emailed campervan culture to check how easy it is to try a replacement LED...

Re: Oil pressure sensor colours?

Update..... The white sensor was a 1.8bar. Changing them around so blue in low pressure and white in high has fixed the BOD! Much joy except I still have no low pressure light. The lad who was doing the work tested the LED, it read 1.something volts and when started it read zero volts. I suspect the...

Re: Oil pressure sensor colours?

In that case, how do I find our if I have a white 1.8 bar or a white 0.15-0.45 bar sensor?

Re: Oil pressure sensor colours?

I must admit I am leaning towards fitting a gauge in the near future anyway.
Just shows, it's worth checking the obvious first! I have replaced the dash PCB and both lengths of wire from the sensors and lost a fair bit of sleep over this!!!
