Re: Accelerator return spring?
Give these a try - they should be able to get one. Colchester Fuel Injection Ltd. Hello, I think there are commonly actually two springs there - I might be wrong - you'd have to take the arm off to check. if you get the part number of the pump (I presume it's bosch) and find your nearest bosch auto...

Re: Accelerator return spring?
Certainly looks like the spring is broken to me - there isn't anything left to create the tension. New one needed. Thanks oldiebutgoodie. Looking at picture 3, is that where it is broken and does the bit that must have broken off attach to the upright bit of metal next to the spring? Is the o...

Accelerator return spring?
Hello all - I am after some advice please. I think the accelerator return spring (at least I think this is what it is called  ) appears to have come lose or broken. I have just replaced the accelerator pedal push rod that fits into the linkage below as this had worn out, but the accelerator do...

Re: How much?!!!!!!!!
Thanks all for the help
Managed to get one from Wagonbuild (http://www.wagonbuild.com/) £8 delivered.
Really like the service from these guys, good for finding bits and bobs at a reasonable price. Packaged up and delivered pretty much next day!
Cheers

Re: How much?!!!!!!!!
Ron, go see Roger Ball. He's only down the road from you (Great Clacton) and I'm sure he could fabricate or repair your existing one. His number is in the WIKI under carbs. He makes up all sorts of stuff for custom bikes, mobility scooters etc and he's always pleased to see VW owners. Handy fella t...

How much?!!!!!!!!
Can an accelerator push rod really cost £30? It is a pretty simple bit of metal with no obvious cost to produce......maybe it has a platinum core or something? http://www.vwheritage.com/vw_act_shop.product_pID_169013_lang_EN_country_GB.htm At this rate I will continue to use the masking tape and str...

Re: Minibus options?
I would go with what plan you have already. The middle seats do come up now and again and you could also swap the passanger seat for a double seat, I think they just slide on to the existing runners with a leg for the walk through gap. Then as you have said change bakc to camper set up when you go ...

Re: Minibus options?
If I can somehow get 8 seats into my bus this would mean my wife can use this for a potential child minding business that she is planning. We are also too emotionally attached to our camper to consider changing it for something more suitable for this purpose - plus for the majority of time we are h...

Thanks anyway, but I think you are right, it is the two seats that fit.

Minibus options?
Hello all! From time to time it would help greatly if we could use the westy as a minibus! I appreciate I could buy a different vehicle with 8 seats (more likely a T4 or dare I say bongo  ), but If I can somehow get 8 seats into my bus this would mean my wife can use this for a potential child...

Re: what wheels?
Wheels now sold :( :( Fair play to Peter at ekmpowershop (as per link above) who just emailed offering advice on alternatives. Will keep on looking as this whole process has made me realise how much I want the real thing rather than alternatives.... maybe wheel trims for now until something turns up.

Cheers for the help lloydy - that is what I was hoping - will double check though.

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!
This gets asked a lot. You can paint metal, wood or glass fibre. Is there a matt finish in this paint? Not sure I want my hightop all shiny! What have others done and what looks best? - any photos of painted high tops? Think the original was matt, but as it is a bit grubby, difficult to tell! Thaks...
