Re: How to fit eyebrow?
Hi, a friend of mine bought one from vf as well, he has squarelights but still has screws on top for grille. We found that a self tapping screw on each side works to fit eyebrow/spoiler tightly although it needed a little filing out in the centre to fit snugly over his vw badge, so when putting the ...

Re: T25 1.9 W/C Running problems
I had identical problems, totally ruined my holiday in Dorset this year, however on return, I stripped the carb down myself while watching TV in my lounge one evening, my wife was not impressed, I followed online instructions and my Haynes manual and discovered a few interesting things. 1: at the bo...

Re: 1.9 DG Pierburg 2E carb is this normal???????????
Hi, thanks for that, I can see a single line of petrol being squirted down, with some pressure, it hits the wall of the venturi just before the opening of the flap at the bottom.
How would I remove this jet, to check if it is blocked or to clean it?

Re: 1.9 DG Pierburg 2E carb is this normal???????????
I have this exact same problem! I have no mid-range, just a gentle take-off in low range, then a few seconds hesitation, ride the clutch a bit and then sudden power!!. High End is good once going. But the Flat-Spot is a pain. I have fitted a new vac advance unit from brickwerks, new fuel pump, accel...

Re: URGENT HELP NEEDED WITH MY CARB.
Wot he said! Weber dealer has agreed to a refund for the carb, woohoo! Reverting to original Pierburg 2e3 carb courtesy of a very quick sale by 80-90 member H34TON (cheers mate) I have since discovered my VAC Advance Unit on the Distributor is totally knackered. RESULT! I think the problem will be r...

Re: jk fuel valve
Hi, I have gone down the same road replacing with a weber 34DAT. I bought the weber conversion direct from a webcon dealer, with the fuel return valve on the fuel inlet pipe exactly as you have above. I have it all installed and has been running great, however... When going up a steep incline it cut...

Hi I Wondered if anyone can help, I am looking for a supplier for a pair of 1.9 DG Inlet Manifold Gaskets? Cannot seem to find any anywhere, GSF, or Just Kampers, Brickwerks etc, they all seem to be for Aircooled or diesel? Am I missing something really obvious? Any help would be much appreciated. -...

Re: Weber 34DAT Fuel Return Pipe? Anyone know where it attaches?
Hi thanks for your help, this is what the weber dealer said; The original Weber DAT's used had a return in the lid. These have not been available for some time & as a special type of DAT has to be used for the conversion Weber now have no choice but to use what is available. The last batch have ...

Re: Weber 34DAT Fuel Return Pipe? Anyone know where it attaches?
Hi Again, Found the Y-shaped Tunion with small restrictor on the end of one tube. Would you possibly understand whether this might be a solution? Seems funny to have a fuel pipe split with a restrictor to the return pipe? Surely this means the excess fuel has to return down the inlet pipe to be push...

Re: Weber 34DAT Fuel Return Pipe? Anyone know where it attaches?
Hi, I had a reply back from the supplier, he is a Webcon Distributor. I believe I have a webber DAT34 II, so it might very well be a modification. Here is his answer: "in the kit was a Tunion with a restrictor. This is put into the main fuel line & the return pipe connected to the restricto...
