Hi all, thanks for your help so far. I've managed to put the box back in the van, connected all cables and tightened all bolts...switched on the engine and it's all sweet, HOWEVER, the rear diff lock light is on. We've managed to drop the gearbox today...a bit of a struggle with one of the cv joints, it was a little stuck, and the jack which didn't reach high enough for a comfortable manoeuvre. One question for you all, what size are the 12 point screws that bolt on the half shafts? I need to order the bit, but not sure I'm measuring it rig...

lube/ plus gas :ok 27mm spanner required, usually the nut will turn but not freely as it will bind/be rusted to the outer sleeve so may require something to gently but securely hold the outer sleeve whilst cracking the nut, you'll be able to feel when it stops binding Thanks! :ok ...just one more t...

The switch needs a feed from the dash lights for fog lamp symbal illumination through the reostat so it alters brightness. does the speedo drive on the gearbox work ? remove the cable from the box end, jack up one side of vehicle so front and rear wheels off the ground (if prop fitted otherwise just jack up front ) and support vehicle then rotate wheels and observe the speedo drive in the front diff it should also rota...
