Gearbox Linkage Adjustment

Hi all, Just spent the last 3 hours fitting and adjusting the linkage.

Question is.... is there a technique to adjustment? I now have reverse (which i didnt a couple of hours ago) but now lost 1st as this is the same as 3rd?

Advice greatly received :)

Selector Lever

Hello all, Been replacing the gear linkage and noticed that the Selector lever (Ali "T" piece) has a bolt at the bottom and not a pin. This bolt just spins as it has no other end!! Also should the gear shift joint (that bolts to the gearbox) come off normally or is there a trick to getting...

I bought a full Transit roof rack and cut it down to the required width. But I have seen flat transit roof racks that bolt to the Thule roof bars.
Not yet put mine on it on as its so blinking heavy!!

White Syncro panel van occasionally seen in Bristol for many years owned by the local authority highways department; once spoke to the driver who said it was his baby and if it went he would go too. Dont know where its gone or if its still in the job but it has not surfaced anywhere else to my know...
