Re: Engine runs on after taking keys out!
Thanks for all your responses....I ended concluding that there is a carbon deposit build up which continued to burn (
yeh, like I should know!) I just got a bottle of stuff that cleans injectors, valves and pistons. Problem solved after adding to tank and a little run. Cheers

Engine runs on after taking keys out!
Mornin, Has anyone encountered the problem of switching off your ignition, taking the keys out of the ignition and the engine continues to idle? Very strange. I have to stall the engine to stop it. I have a 1.6td JX engine and as far as I can see, the problem is called pre-ignition or over run. Anyo...

Hot start relay fitting
Hi, has anyone fitted the above to a t25 before. The Hella one from JK. Surprisingly, i can find no info on it and only reference to it as a possible solution to hot starting. It came with some destructions, but was kind of hoping that someone might tell me that i simply need to 'plug it in' Followi...

eber is diesel. Leisure battery charger? Scuse me ignorance, but if I open the rock roll bed, on the left hand side is the black box, which I have allways assumed to be the eber, because underneath that is the vent where the heat comes from. Is it therefore the case that the 'whole' of the eber is u...

What model eber?
Can anyone with a west joker circa 1988 tell me what model there eber is. My eber died a couple of months ago, made a bit of a racket for a couple of weeks then died. (sound familiar?) I have followed links on the forums from other posters on ebers to manuals which seem not to resemble what I have. ...

How do I replace headlight glass lens?
Would you believe it! Came out of work at lunchtime yesterday, to find me van minus the upper radiator grille cover and the headlamp glass hanging off, in what can only be described as a daring swoop in broad daylight in a residential street. Someone actually had the audacity to stand there, remove t...

Trouble starting warm diesel engine
Just got back from first epic trip from Bournemouth to Aberdeen. Van drove a treat. The only problem was, that after each stop we made (1 hour) the van would take a few attempts to start. This has also started after short journeys. Furthermore I am occasionally getting a large plume of smoke after s...

Draining and refilling coolant on turbo diesel
AAAAGHHHH!!!!! I have just spent the last 4 hours draining my cooling system. I had to change the expansion tank as it had a crack, so thought that only option was to drain and refill. Van is 88 1.6td and used the jk manual on turbo diesel, following instrutions to the letter (very different from ha...

Loosing coolant but no leak? 1.6td
Hello, I am a bit stumped as to how I am loosing coolant. I top up the filler tank by number plate and within a few miles the tank is empty. The temp gauge is fine and I also checked the main tank in engine compartment which seems fine also (no loss) There does not seem to be any visible leak from a...
