Yep, you're right - Just folded tight over with a smear of sealer on the outside and a quick spunk of cavity wax on the inside, sometimes.

The switches do fail, but they don't usually completely fail straight away, you'll have dim/grim lights intermittently for a while. 

Easy enough to pop the switch apart and look inside, it's usually obvious if the switch is knackered because the contacts will be burned.

Yeah, it only appears on bluetooth when plugged in to the mains - as you say, to reduce parasitic power draw.

They're good chargers.
The "Night mode" is a good idea - reducing the current to allow it to run cooler and without turning the fan on and creating noise, however I've never actually heard the fan kick in on mine in normal mode!

Look at the MOT history of any T25 nowadays and you'll see this same advisory, testers aren't familiar with them anymore.
There's a fair bit of play in them by design, unless they are noisy when rotated, I wouldn't worry.
