Maybe not the answer but I chucked molyslip in the box and it made a great difference.
Grease all the bushes, I expect you have.

Re: CAN'T GET INTO FIRST AND THIRD GEARS?!
I have had the spline locating teeth on the ball assembly strip off a few times. There must have been a batch of butter ones made up in 2002 but the latest one has stayed good. Its a bit of a fiddle to get the gear stick in the right place when you put the new one on best get someone to hold the sti...

changing oil filler tube in situ - possible? 1915 WBX
After too much pain and lost camping time the engine might be working well now but the oil filler tube is rusted through and leaking. (I am told) I can't get to see it so.... Is it possible to get it off and put another one on without too much trouble? i.e.. removing the exhaust system or taking the...

Thank you so much everyone.
Just to add to the concern, a pool of oil is developing under and 1/2 the oil is missing so got to find whare that is coming from now!
Anyone know a willing t25 mechanic in Cambridge area for second opinions?
Most just won't have anything to do with them! W/c that is!

Is cooling doing as it should?
Got the T25 w/c 1915 rebuilt and replaced. The whole affair is running in at around 300m. It gets up to temp quick and stays very high. This was the problem on the old engine too. There is a lot of pressure in the rubber hoses that normally allow water to squeeze through into the pressure tank. I su...

Earth straps to gearbox, battery to chassis connections. Leads and contact connectors on motor, faulty key switch or connections.

Re: Re-bore question
Bit impatient (please excuse me)
Sorry folks I was pretty astonished at the time and it was urgent since then I got it rebuilt to std but broke camshaft while running it in! Now I am looking for a cheap engine to knock 2 into one.

Re: What makes a camshaft break into 4 pieces?
Sorry Jim. I got no new battery :D but..... It is a 1915 water cooled boxer. Running fine. Running in after new pistons, rings, clutch, exhaust. All fluids topped up to levels. Doing 60 on an even run on major A road. No noticeable bang just stopped ran to a halt. Turned engine over on starter, no s...

Re: Any one done Head bolt removal? / Know anyone?
Thanks for that Docklad.
I was aware of the basic how to do it but the snag is the depth into the water chamber and the break is not easy to grind flat etc. I was hoping for first hand experience.

1915cc w/c. Any one done Head bolt removal? / Know anyone?
Hello Folks, Been offered a reasonable short engine to rebuild the broken camshaft one. Snag, one head bolt snapped in the replacement engine. I've see offers to remove in USA for $50 but don't know anyone round here (Cambridge). Anyone done it or know where to go? Bring me good news please! Bolts o...

What makes a camshaft break into 4 pieces?
This is why my engine has holes in the crank case. Any ideas?
There is pitting on the cams but followers and push rods all appear fine.
One bush down to copper the other still silvered.
