I hear what you say Steve, but what was puzzling me was the inconsistency of it all and I thought that when the buzzer and light came on it stayed on until the ignition was reset, mine seems to be more weird.

I've got same problem with a new starter motor. battery checked, extra earth added, new starter switch. When it does turn over it spins the engine no problem.

Just got back, great show and also visited Berlin, Dresden, Nuremberg Rudesheim and Cologne before returning home all with the red temperature light on most of the time, Disconcerting

Ferry booked from Dover to Dunkirk 24th July

Well the gearbox seems ok and it looks like I'll be crossing Dover to Dunkirk early on Tuesday 24th and returning on Tuesday 7th August I'll be in Cologne for a couple of days first then drive to Berlin, might call on the Rhine after the meet.
