The guide pin won't slide out it stops on the groove near the end of the guide pin, do l help it on it's
way with some gentle taps, that the problem don't want to damage anything.

He has very good info on a lot of maintenance projects thanks, but no one replaces the ball bearing and spring.

Have been able replace most of the parts from brickwerks at the gear lever and in the box underneath. Not able to replace the spring and ball bearing as the piston wont slide right out on the 5 speed section it gets stuck on the groove each side. Any ideas, l havent found any info online. Thats my problem I over tighten just to make sure, need to invest in a torque wrench learnt my lesson the hard way

Busy replacing the clutch, tightening up the bolts and at the last turn the bolt head has come off :evil: never had this happen before. Needed to use the bus tomorrow, will have to remove the clutch now and get new bolts tomorrow, will make sure they are 8.8 strength these were the original...

the adys we are using are jap imports, so no fly wheel just flexplate from auto units. there is a local engineering workshop that makes the flywheels complete and also all the other bits, engine mounts, carrier,adaptor plate and raised floor at a reasonable price. the clutch remains the same and you...

keep it simple, 2e lump in, chuck the little black box and FI. Fit carb with adaptor plate and change to dizzy
