Sounds like tappets ,oil not getting to them quick enough.learnt this lesson with mine not using it for months ,now I use it at least once a week .

That van sounds like a minter compared to some of the welding horrors ive read on the forum,if thats all thats wrong with it buy it.the seat belt panel is an easy fix so won't be expensive.

This year I've decided to keep using van through winter instead of covering it up.Ive heard people say don't cover it wax it,which is best wax to use.thanks in advance.

Any decent welder will remove all rot and treat panels to rust protection I use a zinc spray fiver a tin.personally I'd shop around a bit first 4300 mite go up a bit when they start digging.
