Covkid you could be a life saver, i have both back wheels up on axle stands but the hand brake is on and i stuck the van in gear.....just to be on the safe side! The other side went on no problem but both wheels were solid and didn't move. So the idea is to allow the wheel to turn and this will help...

I have been back out tonight and tried again the holes are a fag paper out once i get one started, would this be a sign that i have been sent a incorrect c.v joint or should i give it some persuasion with a hammer to get it to line up. It wasn't that hard to get it off .
